About WERC

Launched in 2010, the Women’s Energy Resource Council (WERC) is a non-profit organization that promotes the exchange of ideas and perspectives on energy policy among women energy professionals from the private sector, Capitol Hill, and the Executive Branch in Washington D.C. To foster educational and networking opportunities, WERC holds several events for its members throughout the year, including receptions, roundtables, and a women’s leadership forum in the spring.

WERC’s mission is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and perspectives among professionals involved in federal energy policy, and to encourage the professional development of public and private sector women in energy policy.
